Sandbach United Academy

Started -Sunday 4th September, SUFC- 10am-11.15am

Sunday Football Development Centre – Soccer School Updated November 6th 2011

Sandbach United are pleased to confirm that their Football Development Centre has restarted again. Managers are asked to “spread the word”!

The Soccer school is designed to offer a supportive and inclusive learning environment for boys and girls to experience Football for the first time. These sessions will be aimed at increasing confidence, teamwork in addition to the traditional technical skills.

Development is our priority. That development being in the form of both social skills and technical skills. The children will be challenged based on their confidence and ability with sessions ranging from Introduction sessions without a ball all the way through to academy sessions hosted by our professional partners.

For those wishing to join a team, once the children have progressed into year 2 they will be streamed into two teams. Sandbach United Eagles our development squad and Sandbach United our side aimed at challenging the most gifted and talented boys and girls. Each season thereafter, players will move regularly between these two sides as they develop their abilities at different pace to each other. Parents are reminded that players will benefit from playing with players of a similar ability and that the Club Football development Officers and Age group managers will select the squads together, their decision on future squads in final.

Our girls will also be encouraged to develop relationships with the Girls section of the club, joining training at year 2 in preparation for U10's Football.

It all starts again in a few weeks so come down and see us:

SUFC ACADEMY and COMMUNITY Coaching.

Sandbach United is keen to provide Football for all, whilst following a desire to become competitive by the time the sides play the Albert Steele at U10's and consequently become seeded at U11's by the league. It is the responsibility of the FDO within the club to develop the sides into ability groups to ensure the sides may remain competitive within their future respective leagues.

Sandbach United Academy in the community started in July 2006, with 28 players involved. The Academy has now evolved from working alongside Everton FC to becoming a community based project leading into 2009. Updated July 23rd 2011
