Eccleshall had a great start to this match, scoring in the 7th and 13th minutes, before James Kirby scored a penalty in the 39th minute and Boris Melingui equalised after 40 minutes to make the half time score 2-2.

James Kirby scored his 2nd goal after 55 minutes to make the score 3-2 to Sandbach, but with fog rolling in off the fields, the referee suspended play for 10 minutes as the visibility poor. After a further 10 minutes and with no improvement, the match was abandoned.
