The 1st team welcome our good friends Nantwich Town to Sandbach on Wednesday at 7:45pm in the Cheshire Senior Cup.

This is not the first time that Nantwich and Sandbach side have met in the Cheshire Senior Cup.

In 1903/4 Nantwich beat Sandbach Ramblers 7-4 despite Sandbach leading 4-1 at half time.

1906/7 Nantwich again visited the Ramblers, with Sandbach winning 5-1.

1908/9 Sandbach travelled to Nantwich where the home team ran out 7-1 victors.

1909/10 Nantwich won 2-1 at Sandbach.

1910/11 In the 2nd round Sandbach took Nantwich to a replay at Sandbach after equalising near the end of the match, but it was Nantwich that progressed 2-1 to the next round.

1913/14 The minimum admission was set at 4d for all ties and 6d for the semi-finals and final! Sandbach met Nantwich in the final with an attendance of 10,000!

A crowd of 10,000 saw the match, generating gate receipts of £222-12-0.

Sandbach Ramblers won 3-1 to lift the cup.

Sandbach had apparently played eight games in the eight days before the final, winning seven of them!
