Sandbach United U15s XI vs Lonestar SC
The club recently had the pleasure of hosting an international friendly when Lonestar SC visited the club as part of their tour of the UK. Lonestar SC are a junior academy from Austin, Texas, providing ‘opportunities for over 1250 players to have fun and succeed as they grow their love for the game’. The Lonestar tour started in the capital taking in tours of Wembley and the Emirates and called in at Sandbach United on their journey north to visit Anfield and then on to Ibrox.

A sunny evening and perfect pitch produced ideal conditions for football and the players enjoyed a competitive game played in great spirits. The Sandbach team was a combined squad from the U15s United, Harriers and Falcons who won comfortably in the end.

Supporters from both sides swapped football stories in the sun whilst enjoying refreshments from our newly refurbished bar. A truly enjoyable evening that we are sure will be repeated next year.
